Incorporating an actual Austin Mini which has been refurbished and styled to represent the iconic blue Mini Cooper S from the film. (Anorak fact: the registration LGW 809G is the return flight number the heist team were supposed to catch home after completing the ‘job’).

Converted 1974 Austin Mini shell, Body completely stripped of all ancillary components down to the shell, chassis and original steering mechanism and instrument cluster.

Body repainted in original shade of Italian Job ‘Island Blue’. Brand new Italian Job themed trim fitted including: re-upholstered seats, carpets, dashboard, complete external chrome trim pack, badges, bonnet straps and new Ultralite alloy wheels.

Original accelerator/brake/clutch pedal pads and arms adapted to Simjack/Heusinkveld style pedal armature for simulated resistance and load cell braking.

Driver’s seat converted to a full 2 degree of freedom motion system to simulate motion and g-force experienced when accelerating, braking, road surface and gear changes.

Custom 4-speed + reverse gearshift mechanism, utilising authentic gaitor and gear knob.

Refurbished steering wheel and central emblem, connected to original steering rack and pinion mechanism. When steering in-game, the front wheels move as per the original design. Hall effect sensor unit detects angular movement of wheels and communicates this back to the simulation for ultra-fine fidelity.

Engine/gearbox removed and engine bay re-lined with metal panels to create a ventilated location for the high specification PC and control microprocessors. PC power switch remotely located inside the car for ease of operation.

180 degree, professionally made curved projector screen with aluminium framework to ease with transportation. Front windscreen not re-installed to improve visual clarity of screen but can be supplied to new owner. Aluminium frame gantry for mounting of Benq 4K short-throw projector, decorated with framed photographs of ‘Italian Job’ movie stills.

Streamdeck 6-button pad installed for simple, one-touch execution of simulation software to ensure fast access to installed games and functionality. Additional buttons play an assortment of themed music and sound effects from the film. Race around the streets of Italy whilst listening to the ‘Self Preservation Society’ theme tune or take a gentle stroll around the winding roads of the beautiful Italian hilltops whilst listening to Matt Munro’s ‘Days Like These’ (just watch out for those tunnels!). The functions of all switches can be customised to new owner’s requirements.

Dual-fan ‘Windsim’ installed. Two fans installed on the dashboard blow air relative to vehicle speed. So the faster you go, the more air you feel, adding another sense of immersion.

Working instrument cluster. Original gauges with needle mechanisms replaced with servo motors and connected to the simulation via a microprocessor board. Real-time working needle positions move relative to car/engine parameters for speed, water temperature and fuel. True fans may also notice that the odometer has been set to represent the year the film was made.

Original interior switch panel removed and replaced with a laser-cut panel including 2 working‘ long-lever’ switches (for lights or any other function required) and an engine ignition barrel/key switch for real-time engine starting.

An impressive sound system including full surround sound, with sound-bar mounted underneath the dashboard for a rich and immersive sound experience. A remote subwoofer is mounted underneath the passenger seat for transmitting deep resonance bass through the floor-pan.

An additional monitor screen positioned just below the dashboard on the passenger assists with menu selections and general PC operations.
